All done!

I just finished up all the requirements for my BA in History from Thomas Edison State College, and am awaiting graduation. It has been fun, challenging, interesting, hard, and great. I thank God for His help and guidance through it all.

It feels great to be done. And now I will have more time for crafts and handiwork! Look for new doll dresses coming soon πŸ˜€

Random Thoughts #6: At school today…

Those kindergarteners and 1st graders who’ll pick up a roly-poly or a cricket or a worm with their bare fingers. 😐

There were some fires in the area and because of the ash floating around in the air, the kids at my school couldn’t go out to play for 2 days. 2 days. That’s 6 recesses missed. To say they were annoyed is an understatement. Well, now I know…

Saw an 18-wheeler make a U-turn in a narrow street the other day. Very harrowing to watch.

Two 2nd grade girls:
Girl 1: “Look, on the tag. “American Girl doll. Made in China.””
Girl 2: “Oh, my goodness, everything’s made in China!”

Plaid is cozy.

Did you know there are kids who can take the crust off an Uncrustable? O_o

Whoever came up with the idea to make toothpaste minty? Genius 😎

Is grilling while watching “Ice Age” the height of irony? #SoCal in #January #doesntfeellikewinter At least we’re getting lovely cloudy weather (my fave!) now. And even a little rain πŸ˜€

Frozen is obviously all the rage among school kids. This is evident not just because wherever I turn, 1st and 2nd graders are singing “Let It Go,” but because I heard a middle school boy singing “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” πŸ˜•

This post was shorter than usual. I don’t know why.

Well, that’s all the time we have for today, folks. Remember, God made you special, and He loves you very much!

Introducing… Random Thoughts!

I thought I’d try posting some Random Thoughts periodically. Just recent musings, or things that happened in the day. Hope you enjoy! Feel free to respond in the comments section! πŸ˜€

Random observations today from the kids I watch in the daycare where I work.

“Turkeys are pretty.”

Well, these are! Made of dried beans, some colored with food coloring, and lentils. 😎 Handmade by the kindergarteners.

“If it doesn’t have wings, it doesn’t look like a ship.”

Got that right. Guess Star Wars didn’t get that memo πŸ˜•

“Some people are archeologists.”

Spoken after said kindergartener found a button on the floor. Oh well, even Indiana Jones had to start somewhere, right?

“It’s cold out there.”

Yes. Yes it is. Has been for the past few days. Cold, cloudy, foggy, rainy…and cold. My favorite type of weather πŸ˜€ Just not always to go out in…

“Jesus died to save people from their sins!”

Take a moment and thank Him for it, won’t you?
